In 2014 I moved home from Japan. I was broke, and the dream was over.

In 2026 I hit eleven years in my field, launched my business, started leaving corporate America — and began building the road back.

The Nerdy Terminal is the log of that. Not the tidy retrospective. The log. What I shipped, what broke, what the numbers actually said, and what I was studying on the train while it compiled.

What arrives every week

Why "Terminal"

In Japanese, terminal is two words: 端末 — the prompt where the work happens — and 終着駅, the last stop at the end of the line.

This newsletter lives at both. I am not at the last stop yet.

2014年、私は日本から帰国しました。無一文で、夢が終わったところでした。
